Increased life and strength result from our unique reaction bonding process which produces a higher density silicon carbide. This higher density reduces internal oxidation (a cause of aging) and increases structural integrity. Surface Igniters^TM  draw less current and light gas at lower temperatures than competitive products due to the efficient double helix design.

The FF, FT and RC families of reaction-bonded silicon carbide igniters offer unique ceramic bushing styles to meet the requirements of "hard-to-fit" applications. The "low-power" specification of the products make them valuable for use in applications where power conservation is important. These products have been successfully employed for "sealed" as well as atmospheric applications.
